RJ Sports Analytics began in 2017 as a casual conversation about baseball injuries between a Ph.D. student and his advisor. While every professional team faces injuries, some teams and players seem to manage them more effectively than others. This difference has important implications—not just for team success, but also for fantasy sports players and sports bettors.
At the time, I was that Ph.D. student studying statistics, and it quickly became clear that with the right data, many questions about sports injuries and their impact could be explored through analytical methods.
Now, as a research-active academic, I’ve continued this line of work. RJ Sports Analytics is my way of translating that research into practical tools and insights for individuals and organizations looking to better understand and respond to sports injuries.
“Manage with Confidence” isn’t just our slogan, it’s our promise. We want our subscribers to trust that every insight we provide is grounded in rigorous research and sound analytical methods.
